‘Read for the Record’ was first launched in America in 2006 as a call for an end to early education achievement gap and it has turned into an annual worldwide event when individuals come together to celebrate literacy and support early childhood education.

People from all over the world pledge to read from the same, pre-selected children’s book in their respective schools and homes to show solidarity.

This year, over 2,200 students at Pat’s Schoolhouse will read the book Ladybug Girl and the Bug Squad by David Soman and Jacky Davis on 4th October.Pat’s Schoolhouse pledges its support for global campaign ‘Read for the Record’!

Pat’s Schoolhouse has pledged its support to this campaign since 2008. Last year, about 2,000 children at Pat’s Schoolhouse helped set a new world record for reading the book, Llama Llama Red Pajama, on the same day.
