Nirwana Garden Resort Bintan Holiday Destination Review

Comfortable and safe accommodation, with easy access to delectable and sumptuous spread of cuisines to whet your appetite

Nirwana Garden Resort - Bintan hotel review

Nirwana Garden Resort – Bintan hotel review

I had the opportunity to check out Nirwana Garden Resort in Bintan recently. A 55 minute ferry ride is all it takes to escape the hustle and bustle of city life in Singapore. Just as the assortment of cuisines in Bintan leaves me spoiled for choice, the variety of accommodation offered would appeal to visitors seeking diverse experiences.

Nirwana Resort Hotel is located about 10 mins drive away from Bintan Ferry Terminal. Transport is provided with every room booking made with the hotel. Greeted by friendly, warm and smiling staff, the vacation sure started on a right note.

There are a wide variety of choices, from the rooms at Nirwana Resort Hotel, Nirwana Beach Club Mayang Sari Beach Resort, to  more luxurious and comfortable lodgings at the Banyu Biru Villas, and for those who prefer a private swimming pool, and an exotic sea view, the villas at Indra Maya will certainly live up to  your expectations.

During the vacation, I stayed for 2 nights in the Superior Room of Nirwana Resort Hotel. The room is clean, tidy and generally equipped with all the necessary information that would be of help to decide your next activity or simply enjoy the facilities in the hotel.

A  leisurely stroll along Bintan’s beautiful beaches and basking in the lovely sunshine will easily whet  your appetite for a good meal. It sure made me hungry easily, and deciding what to have for the next meal was not too difficult. Simply hop onboard  a  shuttle bus available every half an hour, that takes you to different restaurants located throughout Nirwana Garden Resorts.

It is also advisable to make a reservation for a table prior to making your way down to the restaurant for your meal. You wouldn’t want to waste time waiting for  a   table if the restaurant is fully occupied. There are choices  of exquisite and delectable cuisines, such as Japanese food, Korean, Thai, Indian, Local Indonesian food amongst others. Each restaurant  has dishes that delight and  surprise your taste-buds.

A craving for Japanese food led me to a  relaxed lunch at Rin Japanese Restaurant. The minimalistic décor gave the establishment a  chic ambience. The food served was fresh and tasted so good that I wasted no time savoring the dishes. There were even set meals available alongside its ala-carte menu, and set meals for kids as well.

The Kelong, is a popular seafood restaurant boasting fresh seafood cooked in different Chinese and Indonesian styles, leaving fellow diners and me in a dilemma  while deciding which dish to order. The service was prompt, though it may get a little slow if it’s a busy day and all the tables are fully seated.

Spotting some familiar faces from the boat ride to Bintan, I struck up a conversation with a couple who were expecting their first bundle of joy. They told me that one of the must-try places beside The Kelong would be Baan Aarya Thai restaurant. The green curry, mango salad, and tom yum soup were highly recommended.

The best thing to do after such a wonderful dinner would be to have after-dinner drinks, relaxing to the gentle ebb and flow of the waves, followed by an in-room massage (available 24-7).

There are also the good ol’ favorites of Hamburgers and Western cuisine, suitable for kids. Parents would also be glad to know that there is a children’s club for kids to have fun and interact with others.
