NDP 2023 Live Screening: A Celebration for All Ages

8 Aug, 2023

As Singapore prepares to celebrate its 58th birthday, exciting events are lined up islandwide to mark this special occasion. One such event that has caught our attention is the National Day Parade (NDP) 2023 live screening happening at Singapore Sports Hub on Aug. 9, 2023.

For those who love National Day fireworks but wish to avoid the crowds at Marina Bay, Singapore Sports Hub offers a fantastic alternative. On the evening of Aug. 9, 2023, the Sports Hub will set off its own fireworks along the Stadium Riverside Walk. This marks the grand finale of their 12-day event, Majulah Fiesta.

In addition to the fireworks display, the Sports Hub will also provide a live screening of the National Day Parade at the OCBC Square and Stadium Roar from 5 pm onwards.

Majulah Fiesta: A Day of Fun and Fitness

Before the NDP live screening starts, you can join in the Majulah Fiesta fitness party. There will be two sessions of cardio-infused dance workouts with a Singapore twist, taking place from 10 am to 11 am and from 11 am to 12 pm.

Old-School Carnival Games and More

For families looking for some fun activities, the Majulah Fiesta will also feature a variety of old-school carnival games from 10 am to 4 pm1. These include oversized versions of Pick Up Sticks and Snakes and Ladders, Feeding Nila, Tic Tac Toe, and Giant Billiards.

Those who complete at least three of these games stand a chance to receive a goodie bag on a first-come, first-served basis. Craft enthusiasts can also join workshops to create their own terrariums or learn the art of soy candle-making.

Live Band Performances and Food Galore

Music lovers can enjoy a live performance by a homegrown band, The Passerby, who will be performing traditional songs in English, Mandarin, Bahasa, and Tamil from 2 pm to 4:45 pm.

And of course, no celebration would be complete without food. A variety of culinary delights, including live stations, will be available to keep visitors energised throughout the day.

Celebrate Singapore’s 58th birthday in style at the Singapore Sports Hub. With an array of activities and entertainment, it promises to be a memorable day for all.
