Mysterious clowns are luring children into the woods, reports say

Mysterious clowns are luring children into the woods, reports say

It is still unclear whether or not these clown sightings is just a scary prank orchestrated by people with twisted sense of humor, or if it’s a real threat.

The thought of clowns doing something evil and nefarious may sound like a plot to a horror movie, but in South Carolina it’s their reality.

According to reports, residents of an apartment complex have witnessed clowns loitering around the property and were trying to lure unsuspecting children into the woods nearby.

In fact, the apartment complex has sent out a letter of warning to its residents.

Creepy.

“First and foremost at Fleetwood Manor Apartment, children’s safety is top priority,” the letter read. “At no time should a child be alone at night, or walking in the roads or wooded areas at night.”

The letter also said that the Greenville County Police have now been informed of the situation and are now riding the property daily to make sure that no dangerous activity is going on.

In a BuzzFeed report, parents to two sons Donna and James Arnold said that their children confirmed that there are indeed clowns lurking near their building.

“‘There’s clowns out there in the woods and they’re trying to get us to come out there.’ Some had chains, some had knives, and some were holding out money, saying, ‘Come here, we’ve got candy for you,’ but they wouldn’t go.”

In a Fox News report, residents also confirmed sightings of the said clowns.

“A suspicious character, dressed in circus clown attire and white face paint, enticing kids to follow him/her into the woods,” one resident said.

Another resident said that her son had “seen clowns in the woods whispering and making strange noises.”

Scarier still, one woman saw a clown with a blinking nose under a streetlamp at two in the morning.

“She stated the suspect waved at her and she waved back while she made her way to her residence safely,” the report said. “The suspect did not approach her or harm her.”

It is still unclear whether or not these clown sightings is just a scary prank orchestrated by people with a twisted sense of humor, or if it’s a real threat.

But I think it’s safe to say that you should keep an eye out for these clowns and keep your children as far away from them as possible.
