Mum, pamper yourself on the cheap

6 Apr, 2016

Relaxing and pampering yourself may seem to be a very expensive activity, but that does not always have to be the case. Check out these wallet friendly ways to treat yourself.

Luxury home bath

Luxury home bath

Who says you need a five-star spa to feel like you\'re taking a rich warm bath? Turn on the hot water and have your very own luxurious wash at home! Be generous with the scented soaps and aromatherapy bath oils (which you can grab at the drug store for a steal) because you deserve it. If you\'re in a mood for some fun, add some bubble bath to your tub and lie back and relax.
Comedy night

Comedy night

It\'s time to let loose and take off any trace of uppity mumminess for the night. Get the kids to bed early and ask a friend to help babysit as you and your husband take a night off at the local comedy club. Give yourself a break from all the worries at home and for once, laugh away all your stress as you let yourself be entertained and tickled pink.
Supermarket dessert spree

Supermarket dessert spree

Remember how you always rush past the chocolate section when grocery shopping because you are hurrying to get your dinner ingredients? Or do you scurry past that aisle because you think indulgent snacks are just not good for you? Forget all that for once. Treat yourself to any dessert you fancy the next time you’re at the supermarket. Pampering yourself with something sweet once in a while is actually good for you.
Girls\' sleepover

Girls\' sleepover

Yes, we know you’re a busy mum and there’s work due at the office but why not take one night off and spend it with your girls! Relive the good ol’ days when it was just you and your girlfriends having fun the entire night. Have a smashing sleepover and don’t forget the s’mores, nail polish and a sappy movie.
Home massage

Home massage

Getting a massage doesn’t mean you have to splurge on a professional masseuse. Why not ask your kids or hubby to pamper you with a massage in exchange for a great home-cooked dinner? If you please, you can also bring the kids’ bedtime forward to spend time alone time with your spouse and take turns giving each other back rubs.
