Bring your flip-flops and your Super Hero costumes! From 1 to 16 September, Sentosa is bringing a sandstorm of fun on its shores with Southeast Asia’s biggest sand festival, Sentosa Sandsation: MARVEL Edition.
Super-Sized Fun with Super Heroes
Sentosa Sandsation is returning bigger and better in a never-before seen MARVEL Edition.
If your kids love MARVEL Super Heroes, there can’t be a better place to bring them to for a day of fun activities for the entire family. Besides offering an awesome, super-powered experience, it’s also a FREE event! Admission to Sentosa is also free for locals and local residents.
Taking place at The State of Fun’s Siloso Beach, Sentosa Sandsation: MARVEL Edition features 15 larger-than-life sand sculptures of popular MARVEL Super Heroes such as Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, Hulk and many more.
Made with 2000 tonnes of sand, this sand art is the result of the hard work of 16 world-renowned sand sculptors who have worked on the sand installations for 10 days!
Sculpted by the internationally-acclaimed JOOheng Tan and his team, the sand-art will also make their home alongside an array of interactive MARVEL-themed activities that are set to unleash the inner Super Hero in everyone.
Here are the three not-to-be missed activities that you can enjoy with your kids at Sentosa:
Test your strength at Hulk Smash. When your kids try the Hulk Smash, you would feel as if you have been transported to a Hollywood set where the Hulk is being filmed. It’s that high tech! Both young and old can try this fun game. All you need to do is to wear the Hulk’s green gloves and bring them down on the surface of a wall, shouting ‘Hulk Smash’! The thud shakes the ground, tremors appear and you will witness cracks on the floor, along with proper sound effects! Kids will shriek with joy!
Show off your Super Hero moves at Freeze Frame Station. If you and your kids always wanted to be in a MARVEL universe with the Super Heroes, then this is your chance. Pose with other MARVEL Super Heroes in a 180-degree photo opportunity activation. Seconds later, you’ll get a QR code to access an awesome one-of-a-kind photo of your Super Hero pose.
Discover the Super Hero in you in Hero Action Centre. What’s your super power? What traits do you have that matches up with one of the Super Heroes? Wouldn’t you love the idea of finding out which Super Hero you are? In Hero Action Centre, you can find out how similar you are to an actual MARVEL Super Hero. All you need to do is answer a set of 10 questions and in seconds you will know if you are Black Widow match or a Thor in hiding. This fun activity is a complimentary feature; no token is required for participation in this game.
What Else Is There for Your Family?
Over the two weeks (1-16 Sep), MARVEL fans like you can look forward to free sand sculpting workshops for those aged five and above. And when evening comes, you can end your day by kicking back and enjoying a free movie by the beach–the perfect ending for a full day to night experience at Sentosa!
