The world’s fastest-growing family entertainment paradise, KidZania – started in Mexico City by Xavier López Ancona – has finally opened in Singapore, after two years in the making.
This 7,600 square metres facility situated at Palawan Beach, Sentosa, is fully air-conditioned with over 60 establishments where kids can role-play into many different occupations. The establishments include 17 local brands such as SoupSpoon, Kiss92 and Singapore Police Force – all of which emphasise the Singaporean identity.
Compared to KidZania Kuala Lumpur, the KidZania in Singapore is 10-20% times bigger in terms of size and amenities. We also have a full-wing Qatar airplane that none of the other 22 KidZania outlets have!
KidZania Singapore is also one of the few to take part in the Be-Kidzanian program, where for a one time payment of $18, kids will get a PaZZport that enables them to collect stamps after taking part in the activities.
The amount of collected stamps will then determine the PaZZport’s levels of citizenship. The great thing is, these stamps can be collected from other KidZania outlets as well, but only if they’re part of this program!
Good news for parents who are looking for some “me-time” – the KidZania’s Parents Lounge will be located on the second floor so you can sit back and relax while your kids have the time of their lives experiencing the “real world.”
Additionally, the F&B establishments such as Pizza Hut – where kids can make their own pizzas – have an allergy enquiry before the activities start, which is beneficial for allergies and even vegetarian preferences. These F&B establishments also do not have an open flame, to ensure full safety of the kids.
KidZania also hosts birthday parties and corporate events as well. Although the official opening was today (12 April), they already have 6 birthday parties lined up for this weekend! For birthday packages, you and your kids can choose from 5 different party themes. KidZania offers two party packages depending on party size and they cost from $1,388 onwards.
For corporate events, companies can book the entire KidZania city! You can now go back in time and relive your childhood days and perhaps experience other career options. More information on events booking can be found on their website.
Here’s something exciting to look forward to: Every hour, there will be a KidZania dance session where the (really catchy) KidZania theme song comes on, signalling all KidZania staff to dance to their hearts’ content – no matter where they are!
Online booking is recommended to avoid disappointment. Also, Maybank credit card holders get 10% off! For more information on ticket prices and booking, click here.
