Jamie Yeo's Daughter Warns Her Daddy That 'Mama is Eating Durian' in Endearing Note

Jamie Yeo's Daughter Warns Her Daddy That 'Mama is Eating Durian' in Endearing Note

Her daddy didn't disappoint by replying to her note.

When it comes to durians, the truth is, you either love it or hate it. And evidently, between radio DJ Jamie Yeo and her housemates, the divide is clear.

Taking to an Instagram post (20 Aug), the 43-year-old uploaded an image of a note that was addressed by her daughter, Alysia, to her daddy.

According to Jamie, she was unaware of what transpired between the father-daughter duo as she had been “innocently eating durians in the kitchen”.

The adorable note that was slipped by 10-year-old Alysia under the door for daddy reads:

“Hi daddy, when you come out hold your nose. Ma Ma is eating durian. Love, Aly xxx P.S I love you.”

As though that isn’t endearing enough, Aly’s daddy replied back to her note with the same lighthearted humour, comparing the smell of durian to “a boy’s toilet”.

In his sign off, he also made sure to let Aly know that he loves her too.

Jokingly, the mother-of-two wrote in her post: “Durian lovers unite and commiserate!”

Since the Instagram post update, many of Jamie’s followers flocked to the comments to express how sweet and adorable the exchange between Aly and her daddy was.

It appears to be a subtle yet clever way for Aly to warn her daddy of the dangers of the durian fruit without hurting mummy’s feelings, according to Singaporean host and actress, Jade Seah.

Well at least, durian lovers can revel in knowing that they are not alone in this situation.

Another user wrote: “Oh my! So I’m not alone having durian in the kitchen and not on the comfortable sofa in the [living room].”

These moments are just part of what Jamie shares on a regular basis on her Instagram about her family life, among other professional endeavours.

She has two children: Alysia, whom she had with her second husband, and three-year-old Luke, fathered by British expat Rupert.

Third time’s a charm, Jamie got married for the third time to Rupert in 2017.
