The Oscar winner turned mumpreneur has earned praise for being both down-to-earth and ambitious.
The stunning mum of two graces the cover of Self and she speaks to the magazine about her kids, being in her 40s and embracing her nature as a “sexual being”.
“We have this idea that you can’t be a mother and a businesswoman and like to have sex!” she says in the interview. “How is an intelligent woman a sexual being? It’s really hard to integrate those things.”
She adds, “Like, ‘Gwyneth has sex? Really?’ It doesn’t seem to go together. But I think it’s important, as mothers and as women contributing to society in whatever way we each are, that our true sexuality doesn’t get lost or put aside.”
Her thriving business, Goop, has showcased her entrepreneurial skills by merging her love for food, shopping, and mindfulness.
Though her company does have male employess (two, to be exact), Gwyneth admits she loves working with women, adding, “I love working with mothers. Mothers take care of business!”
Taking care of her family is her main “business”. Despite separating from her husband Coldplay frontman Chris Martin a year ago, she has remained friends with him.
The two amicable exes termed their split was a ‘conscious uncoupling’ and have since had what could possibly be the least drama-filled divorce.
In fact, she recently took her kids on a trip to South America where her ex-husband’s band, Coldplay, was playing a series of shows.
They even checked into the same hotel in Peru where Chris was staying with his new girlfriend, Annabelle Willis.
Doting dad Chris didn’t let the opportunity pass and surprised Moses by bringing him up on stage to celebrate his 10th birthday in front of about 40,000 Coldplay fans.
Their 12-year-old daughter, Apple, was there as well. She’s the spitting image of her mum.

The busy mum admits that she struggled with relaxation in the past: “I have yet to meet someone who isn’t burdened with hyper-responsibility,” she said. “Everyone is suffering from this sense of ‘I have to do it all and I have to do it perfectly.’ It’s all my friends, all my colleagues: We try to do everything to such a high standard. And I’m like, Where did we get this from? Because I’m exhausted!”
But the down-to-earth celebrity prides herself in being just like any other mom.
As she told CNN in a previous interview, “I am a woman, and I’m a mother, and we all are in a physical body with beating hearts, with compassion and love. We are all seekers. We all want questions. We all want fulfillment. We want to live our best lives. We want to be healthy and happy and squeeze the most that we can out of life. I think that’s all women.”
