Christmas is coming and you almost wish it wasn’t because you just don’t have the money to spend on gifts for everyone. Does this sound like you? If so, don’t despair. There are gifts you can give your children that are basically free. Read on to find out more!

Giving creative free or almost-free gifts is not only thrifty, but fun. The hunt for these items can be challenging but invigorating. And recipients will be able to tell you put a lot of thought into the effort.
1. Boxes

Go to an appliance store, get large boxes and create a maze, house or train. Use paint, fabric and paper you have around the house to decorate.

Certificate for weekly game day/night. Playing board games or doing puzzle together is something kids love.

Make notes - one for each day of the year. On each one, write a love note to your child. Put one in their lunch, on their bed or at their seat at the dinner table each day.
