Mummies, are you and hubby dearest always on the hunt for things your kiddos can do with their daddy? Fret no more...

Longkang Fishing

Unsure of where to bring your kids to play during the weekends? Forget about the air-conditioned places like shopping malls or movie theaters! Bring them outdoors into the sun and fun to experience the popular old-school activity – Longkang Fishing.

Longkang Fishing had been a popular hobby among the children living in the 60s. Back then, children would visit these “Longkangs” (Drain in Malay) or natural streams after and during the rain to catch small fishes, usually with glass/plastic containers or bottles. Let your child re-live this experience again! For only $12 (inclusive of GST), each child would be given a plastic tank and a fishing net (returnable).

The non-slip concrete flooring and 30cm maximum depth of the pond compliments the different height so the place is perfect for kids.

ORTO
81 Lorong Chencharu #01-01

Have a one to one personal bonding time with your child. You can pitch a tent and teach them about the wonders of nature. It's a great opportunity to have heart to heart talks with your sons or daughters.

Permits are not required to camp at Noordin, Mamam Beach or Jelutong campsite, availability is on a first come first served basis.

However, campers are advised to drop by the Ubin NParks Info Kiosk (at the Ubin Jetty) for some camping do and don'ts and register their particulars at the Pulau Ubin Police Post (to the right of Ubin Jetty) with the local police post for ease of contact in case of emergencies. More tips for visitors.

#4 Laser tag @ LaserOPS

Laser tag is an incredibly fun activity to take part in as a group. Players seek to either capture the opponents’ base or rake in maximum points from hits on targets, while maneuvering within a maze exposed to potential encounters with mines en-route to their objectives.

All these while dodging to avoid being shot! You can get some of your best mates to bring along their children and you can all have a battle of men vs boys!

Operating a 5,500 sf Indoor Laser Tag venue, LaserOPS offer up to 35 game formats to cater to every skill level-various ages, gender and fitness levels.

It's a safe, comfortable and painless indoor play environment that is not affected by the unpredictable weather (rain or haze) and provides a unique bonding experience for all.

Location:
LaserOPS
60A Orchard Road, #B1-04/05/06
The Atrium @ Orchard
Singapore 238890

It is a fun activity that enhances trust, self confidence, communication and decision making skills. However, your child needs to be above 14 years old to be able to participate in the activity.
