Free Activities In Singapore This Weekend: Eatbox, Really Really Free Market 66 & More

Fill your tummies with delicacies such as Dim Sum, mee bakso and even Indomie boba at Eatbox!

The weekend is finally here—and we’re most definitely looking forward to free weekend activities in Singapore!

Here are some fun activities happening around the island to enjoy with your friends and family.

While we know Singapore is currently in Dorscon Orange, as long as you take the necessary precautions (wear a face mask and whip out the hand sanitisers), there’s no reason not to live our lives as normally as we can.

Free Weekend Activities In Singapore: try out delicacies like dim sum, mee bakso and even Indomie boba! | View the full post here.

If you’ve been to Artbox Singapore last year, gear up for another round at Eatbox, a smaller version of the famed Bangkok night market…with an international twist.

Happening over two consecutive weekends, prepare your tummies for food galore from three different countries: Hong Kong, Indonesia and Singapore. Expect local delicacies like Hokkien mee and ice cream popiah, as well as international cuisine such as dim sum, mee bakso and even Indomie boba!

Besides a lineup of performances at the market featuring Nat Wu, Retrofocus and more, Food League Singapore has also organised a Competitive Eating Championship! Be sure to check out Eatbox’s Facebook page and Instagram for further details to come.

Visitors who might be worried about the recent virus outbreak can be assured that Eatbox will be screening the temperatures of all vendors and customers. Sanitisation and handwashing booths will also be available during the event.

When: Feb 21 to 23, Feb 28 to Mar 1, 3pm to 11pm
Where: Downtown East D’Marquee (Open Plaza 1 & 2), 1 Pasir Ris Cl, Downtown East, Singapore 519599

View full post here.

As part of the Singapore Biennale programme, Artists Run, the Singapore Really Really Free Market 66 is a temporary market with the concept of giving and building a community. It is based on sharing resources, caring for one another and improving the collective lives of all.

Everything is free at the event and visitors are encouraged to share their items, be it books, toys, cds; or skills such as tarot card reading or hair cutting, by giving them to others who need them!

Why not save the environment by reusing old items and reducing wastage?

When: Feb 22, 3pm to 6pm
Where: Block 9 Lock Road, Gillman Barracks, Singapore 108937

FREE TOURS

The International Tourist Guides Day (ITGD) is an annual event worldwide, which serves to recognise professional tourist guides’ contributions.

But what does that mean for everyone else? Free tours of course! To celebrate ITGD, the Society of Tourist Guides (Singapore) (STGS) will be providing free themed tours in English and Mandarin.

This year, STGS will be partnering with Capitol Singapore, CHIJMES and Raffles Hotel to provide three walking tours. The theme will be “Spotlight on STARS, HOPE and JOY”.
