A new free TCM clinic in Punggol has officially opened, providing vital traditional Chinese medicine services to the community. On May 26, Seu Teck Medical Institution (Punggol Branch) at Block 176A Edgefield Plains began welcoming residents, offering a range of holistic treatments.

Pasir Ris-Punggol MPs Teo Chee Hean and Yeo Wan Ling were present at the clinic’s official opening. Ms Yeo added that while Punggol is often seen as a young town, areas like Punggol Shore have many senior residents. The new free TCM clinic in Punggol brings essential services right to their doorstep, making healthcare more accessible. Discussions with Seu Teck Medical Institution began in 2022, aiming to enhance community engagement and provide necessary amenities.

Diagnosed with terminal jaw cancer in January 2023, Mr Bek has faced several health challenges, including deteriorating vision and hearing, and loss of touch. Through weekly acupuncture treatments at the clinic, he has found significant relief from his symptoms. The convenience of having the clinic nearby has greatly improved his quality of life.
