Some babies are in such a rush to say “Hello, world” — like Singaporean mum Yvonne Chong’s baby girl.
On the night of November 23, Yvonne gave birth to her daughter in her husband’s truck!
According to The New Paper, the speedy birth took place not even an hour since Yvonne started labour, and only eight minutes after the couple left their house to rush to the hospital.
As they were on their way along the Seletar Expressway, the mum-to-be could see her baby’s head.
Keeping a steady head, Yvonne proceeded to lay down sideways on the passenger seat and slowly guided her baby out by holding her neck and armpits, reports say.
By 11.40pm, baby Roxelle Hong was born. She is the couple’s second child. Both the mother and the daughter are in good condition.
As unique as it is to have Roxelle’s place of birth officially stated as “Along SLE Express Way Singapore” on her birth certificate, the Hong family is not the only one with a story of this sort.
Back in 2012, there was another Singapore case of a mother who almost had her baby in a taxi and earlier this year in China, there was a woman who gave birth on a motorcycle.
