Cristiano Ronaldo Announces Tragic Death of Newborn Boy
Cristiano Ronaldo went to Twitter to share the devastating news of the death of his newborn son. Fortunately, he and his wife, Georgina Rodriguez, still express their joy over the successful birth of their new daughter.
“Only the birth of our baby girl gives us the strength to live this moment with some hope and happiness,” states Ronaldo on his official Twitter account.
In October 2021, Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez announced news of their soon-to-be twins. In the post, the couple expresses their excitement with smiling faces and ultrasound pictures.
Following the heartbreaking news, Ronaldo thanks the healthcare personnel who helped in the delivery of his babies. He also requests privacy from the press and the public as he and his loved ones mourn their loss.

“We would like to thank the doctors and nurses for all their expert care and support. We are all devastated at this loss and we kindly ask for privacy at this very difficult time,” Ronaldo adds.

While growing his football career, Cristiano Ronaldo manages to balance his time with his kids. In past interviews, he always mentions his determination in becoming an active parent to his children.
Despite his fame, Ronaldo does his best to stay involved in raising his kids with his partner. Because of this, the recent passing of his newborn son devastated him.
While we mourn the football star’s loss, we must also remember his love for his other children. In 2010, Ronaldo welcomed and named his eldest son after him. Like the news of his new daughter’s birth, he always requests privacy from the press and the public.
Aside from Cristiano Jr., Ronaldo also fathered twins born on June 4, 2017. Like now, the twins were a boy and a girl named Mateo and Eva respectively. Afterwards, he later welcomed his first daughter with Georgina Rodriguez in November of the same year.

Though we can’t tell what happened to Cristiano Ronaldo’s son, we still need to understand the complications of the birth. Twin pregnancies may be common but they also have higher perinatal mortality.
In England and Wales, multiple pregnancies make up 1.6% of births and 98% of those come from twin pregnancies. Unlike single births, monochorionic twins have a 13-fold heightened chance of stillbirth.
Meanwhile, dichorionic twins have a 5-fold enhanced risk as around 2-4 twin pregnancies cause 6% of stillbirths, 18% of neonatal deaths (NND), and 20% of premature deliveries.
Additionally, experts still can’t determine the general reason behind single-twin deaths. Some suffered from complications during delivery. Others tragically died during gestation.
