Where to catch the FIFA World Cup 2014 with your kids

20 Jun, 2014

Catching the Live broadcast of the Fifa World Cup in Brazil may be a tad tricky now that you are a parent. After all, the last thing you want to do is to wake your sleeping kids in the middle of the night with your excited (spontaneous) screams for ‘GOALL!’

But wait - that doesn’t mean that you’d have to miss out on the matches and scores completely. There are plenty of family-friendly places in Singapore where you can gather with other football-loving families and enjoy the highlights of the replay.

The best thing about these places? They have facilities to keep your kids entertained so you can take them along too!

Click ‘Next’ to find out where you can catch the FIFA World Cup with your kids.

The Bank Bar + Bistro

Our tip for handling restless kids: Your mini-me’s are welcomed to head to the soft play corner to play and squeal to their heart’s content. This play corner is available on weekends only until 6pm.

Will you be travelling out of Singapore during the World Cup season? There’s no need to fret over missing the all-important matches just yet - because you can still catch up with the action at our very own Changi Airport.

During the period from 13 June to 14 July 2014, there will be a free ‘live’ screening area in the departure transit lounge set up across all 3 airport terminals. According to Asiaone News, matches will be screened on 19 large high definition TV screens at the viewing areas.

Our tip for handling restless kids: Your kids get their share of football fever too by taking part in the ‘virtual' FIFA matches. 10 Sony PlayStation game consoles will be set up in the area during the World Cup season to keep the young (and young-at-heart) happy and entertained while waiting for the last call of their flights (available outside match times only).
