Car accident in Malaysia: Parents and baby killed, 3 children orphaned

A couple and their 3-month-old baby were reported killed after a car accident in Malaysia, leaving their 3 children orphaned.

We have just come across the most heartbreaking news.

A couple and their 3-month-old baby were reported killed after a car accident in Malaysia, leaving their 3 children orphaned.

Car accident in Malaysia

According to Channel NewsAsia, the incident happened on 3 December near Ipoh.

The family had been visiting grandparents as school holidays had started.

Mr Sairul Azuwan Nadzim, his wife Azilina Abdul Aziz, 37, and their baby Muhamad Daris Iffat, were on their way home from the grandparents’ place when their car skid into a ditch.

Apparently, Sairul had tried to avoid a water-filled plastic barrier that was in the middle of the road and swerved right.

Perak traffic chief Supt Wan Jamil Wan Chik has been quoted by The Star Online as saying, “As Siarul swerved to his right, he crashed into the drain and his vehicle overturned.”

Their 3 sons, Muhammad Daris Wafiy, 10, Muhammad Daris Rayyan, 9, and Muhammad Daris Amsyar, 5, who had remained at their grandparents’ place have been left orphaned.

These words of Wafiy leave us moist-eyed, “Mama woke me up and told me to look after my younger brothers and she was going back.”

“Mama kissed me, Rayyan and Amsyar and said she and papa were going home with our youngest brother. All of us continued sleeping after that.

“After an hour later, my grandmother woke us up and said mama, papa and Iffat had gone, and in the house we could hear many people crying.”

The children will now be looked after by their grandparents and will attend a nearby school.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to this family, and pray that these little children can cope with the loss of their parents.
