Update: 2 Singapore boys who had gone missing for more than 24 hours were finally found on Friday night (Jan 19). They were found at Yishun at around 9:45 pm.
The Singapore Police Force release an update on Facebook, "The Police have located Javier Teo and Axel Lim at Yishun at about 9.45pm this evening."
"Both boys are safe and well, and are not victims of crime. The Police thank members of the public for providing us with valuable information."
Earlier, police had appealed for information from the public. It was reported that 2 young boys aged 11, and reportedly classmates, had been missing since Thursday (January 18) afternoon.
The boys' names are Javier Teo Ren Jie and Axel Lim Jun Wei.
Police had said:
"Javier was last seen at Blk 273D Compassvale Link at about 7.10am on Thursday, while Axel was last seen at a shopping mall along Rivervale Drive at about 7.30pm on Thursday."
A Facebook user by the name of Leftone Shady had also posted about the missing boys yesterday afternoon (her post has now been taken down). While she referred to Javier as "our son" in the post, she also mentioned that she is not his biological mother.
In her post, she had stated that both boys were last seen at Park Green condominium. She also said the boys had gone to "play Buddy cards at Rivervale Plaza and may have been last seen there".
Missing boys in Singapore: Police appeal for public's help
The Singapore Police had appealed for anyone with information on the boys to call the police hotline at 1800-255-0000 or submit information online at www.police.gov.sg/iwitness.
They had assured that all information would be kept confidential.
