Travelling with kids may be stressful because of how restless they get. Imagine a long distance flight where you won’t have to worry about your kids kicking up a fuss while constantly asking “are we there yet?”
Good news parents, Qantas has partnered with Nickelodeon to come up with a range of activities ranging from activity books to family lounges that are sure to keep your little ones occupied from before the plane takes off up until it reaches your destination.
Prior to your flight, your kids will already be entertained with the family zones at Qantas lounges that are filled with dedicated iMac computers, Sony Playstations, children’s furniture, toys and books. Family zones are available at selected Qantas lounges which can be found on their website.
There will be a kids menu available on Sydney and Melbourne First lounges aside from the infant meals and kids meals that will be provided. Infant meals include a range of top brand baby food, milk, baby bottles, cereals and rusks.
Suited for 3-6 years old, these complimentary kit packs which includes an activity book and colour pencils will be available on board. There are also additional activities that can be printed out from their website such as word searches and dot-to- dots.
Aside from activity books, Qantas also offers in-seat screens that has a dedicated Children’s Channel where up to 8 movies that are updated monthly and plenty of Nickelodeon and Disney programs will be available.
There’ll be no room for boredom with these in-flight screens that allow you and your kids to watch shows, play games and listen to music! You can also find out what’s playing on prior to your flight by looking at the Inflight Entertainment section on their website.
Still not sure if all of this is enough to keep your kids entertained? No problem! Qantas has released an iPad app called Qantas Joey Playbox that is designed specifically for kids that includes four different games that are suitable for both boys and girls. This game app is a great way to keep your kids entertained, whether they’re on the flight or even at home!
