During this important month-long confinement period, it is vital to eat well to regain your strength. Black Vinegar Trotter is high in nutrition and will help the lochia heal faster.

This Easy Black Vinegar Trotter Recipe Helps Speed Recovery Up!

What you need for Black Vinegar Trotter:

  • 1 pig’s trotter
  • 300 g brown sugar
  • 200g old ginger
  • 500 ml black vinegar

What you do:

  1. Cut pigs trotter into serving pieces.
  2. Rinse and scaled them in hot water.
  3. Remove and drain well.
  4. Skin and mash ginger lightly.
  5. Heat 2 tablespoons of sesame oil and fry ginger till golden brown.
  6. Transfer ginger to claypot.
  7. Add vinegar and brown sugar.
  8. Bring it to a boil and let simmer for half an hour.
  9. Add the trotters and simmer for two hours. (Till the trotters are soft and tender)
  10. Serve
