Birdz of Play at Jurong Bird Park this School Holidays!Birdz of Play at Jurong Bird Park this School Holidays!

Tis the season to be jolly and Jurong Bird Park has an endless list of new activities to keep you busy throughout the entire holidays with your kids. Parents and relatives can join in the mind blowing fun as Jurong Bird Park goes all out this season with their Birdz of Play.

Looking for a place to go with the kids this December school holiday? Fly in to Jurong Bird Park where fun’s hatching at the park’s brand new water playground - Birdz of Play. Join in the park’s Hatch Day Eggs-travaganza with loads of “egg-citing” activities. The kids will be in for a hip-hop-happy time this December!

All activities are from 3 – 25 Dec 2011 (Saturday and Sunday only). Activities are free, park admission applies.

Birdz of Play

Get ready for a wet and wonderful playtime at the park’s new “splash-tacular” playground featuring an exciting water play area, as well as a dry play area and a multi-purpose pavilion. This 9,700sqm playground was officially opened by Mr David Ong, Member of Parliament, Jurong GRC.

The wet and dry play zones are thoughtfully separated for toddlers and older kids between 5 – 12 years of age, so you can relax and allow your children to explore safely in their respective play areas.

Little ones can cool off in the tropical heat, under the colourful collection of bird-themed spray towers and watch them dash through little water sprouts. Whereas the older kids can clamber up the forts and glide down the fun slides and adventure course, before creeping to a spot below the overhanging, giant tipping bucket for the ultimate soaking experience! They can also hold mock water fights by squirting a friend with the “Little Sqwerts Fish and Duck”.

Over at the dry area, young kids can explore see-saws, swings and slides. The upper body strength and agility of the older ones will be challenged as they zip across the dry play area on the Flying Fox.

Over at the multi-purpose pavilion, kids can fire away at the various arcade game consoles or stop for an icy treat at the Ben & Jerry’s scoop shop.

Get wet and wild with the hilarious Water Dippers

Have a splashin’ good time with our Water Dippers as they join the kids for water gun battles. With their snorkel masks and flippers, funny antics and synchronized “land” swimming, our Water Dippers will have the family laughing all the way home.

Hatch Day Party

Meet our cheery egg mascots, Didi & Dodo and get ready for a time of merriment as the kids help them hatch a giant mystery egg. Join them in a special egg dance and be astonished as the Egg Wizard appears to work up some magic. It’s going to be a party full of surprises!

What’s more, kids can also meet Didi and Dodo and snap a happy picture together with them!

Eggs n’ Craft

The kids can unleash their creativity as they try their hands at shaping up the most adorable animals and birds from eggs.

Send a jolly egg-mas greeting

Drop by the iPad stations to create your very own festive e-card and send a heartfelt Christmas wish to your friends and loved ones.

Birds, Camera, Action!

It’s time to meet your favorite feathered stars at the park! Be amused by Quincy the cheeky Yellow-headed Amazon and don’t forget your cameras and smiles while striking a pose with Aprilla the Moluccan Cockatoo and Peanut the Blue and Gold Macaw.

Be sure to make Jurong Bird Park your family’s destination of choice this holiday.  Let your kids learn more about the wonder of birds from different parts of the world and check out the park’s world-class bird shows, up close bird feeding encounters and more!
