It’s been a long week and we’re sure you are undoubtedly busy thinking of ways for the kids to have a marvellous time over the weekends. But this time, parents can take off their thinking caps; Suntec City Mall has just the answer you are looking for, from October 7, 2011 to October 30, 2011, where loads of fun for the whole family awaits.  Take a look at the fun and activities exclusively planned for your whole family!

A Tea Party with The Sylvanian Family

Pay a visit to The Sylvanian Family; where your tots can have a tea party and attend a workshop with them. The Sylvanian Family is only in town for one weekend (October 8 and 9, 2011), so make sure you hop on over to catch a glimpse of them! Don’t forget to bring your camera to capture all the fun.

Sharity – Singapore’s favourite pink elephant

Instill a love of sharing and kindness in your kids by taking them to catch Sharity Elephant’s special appearance! If they aren’t familiar with Sharity, the endearing care and share ambassador of Community Chest, we’ve included a bedtime story on Sharity below to share with the young ones! Your kids can also take part in a coloring contest and stand to win prizes! You can also pick up something from the ComChest Sharity Shop at Suntec City Mall – sale proceeds will go towards helping about 300,000 beneficiaries under the care of Community Chest.

Remember to read this to your kids tonight!

Sharity Elephant – A Bedtime Story

“Once upon a time, there was a little pink elephant called Sharity. He was kind and loving, but very unhappy. All the other elephants bullied him and didn’t accept him because he wasn’t grey like them. This upset Sharity’s parents and they decided to find him a home deep within the dark forests. While they were searching for one they bumped into an old man who was weak and tired. Sharity and his parents helped the old man find food. Extremely gracious, the man showered Sharity with affection and told him of a wondrous place called Sharityland! This would be Sharity’s exciting new destination. He invited the old man to join him and his family on their journey. While they were travelling they came across an owl who knew the way, but was blinded by the sun. Sharity offered to shadow the owl’s eyes as he guided them towards Sharityland.”

Paint a Piggy-Bank

Teach your young ones the virtue of saving through painting their very own piggy bank where they can take it home and fill with all the coins you give them. Added advantage – this is a great way to get rid of all that loose change and to keep those little faces smiling.

Voucher Time!

Spend $50 at Happy Kidz and receive a free workshop pass for your kids to visit The Sylvanian Family or enjoy decorating your own piggy bank at the Piggy Bank Painting Workshop. Best yet, if you’re one of the first 50 visitors on each day, you will receive a $5 voucher for shopping in Suntec City Mall, limited to one voucher per shopper per day. We all love freebies, don’t we?

If your little girl loves tap dancing, or your boy wants to learn how to spin a yo-yo, now would be a great time to sign them up for lessons!
