Taiwanese actress Barbie Hsu is back in the news. In June this year, the 44-year-old Barbie had announced that she had filed for divorce from Chinese businessman, Wang Xiaofei.
According to reports, the split was partially attributed to his penchant for posting disparaging comments about Taiwan on Weibo, which Barbie found unacceptable.
But her husband and people close to the couple denied at the time that the divorce is for real. They claimed that the actress was only lashing out in anger.
These divorce rumours have once against reignited. Here’s why netizens are speculating that the popular couple is getting separated.
Xiaofei Deletes All Traces Of Barbie Hsu From His DouYin

Xiaofei recently deleted every trace of Barbie from his DouYin account. He also changed his bio which now reads, “Hsi-Yueh’s dad.”
The couple is parents to their six-year-old daughter, Hsi Yueh and also a four-year-old son named Hsi-Lin.
Barbie Hsu Wedding Was Nothing Less Than A FairyTale
Barbie Hsu’s wedding with Wang Xiaofei was nothing less than a fairytale. They tied the knot after a whirlwind 49-day romance and were blissfully married for 10 years.
Back in August this year, Wang said that he wants to “redo [their] wedding ceremony with just the two of [them].” He shared that even before they got married, he had treated Barbie and a number of their close friends and family to a mutton hotpot.
At the time he wrote, “To her, this was her ideal wedding but I preferred things to be more lively and I loved the sea.” Barbie Hsu had a lavish wedding ceremony, which was attended by her friends with a large number of government officials and other businessmen in attendance.

While Wang and his mum earlier refuted any news about getting divorced from Barbie but their friends have said, “It was not a rash decision on Barbie’s part.”
According to them, Barbie was considering a divorce last year and there are mainly three reasons for it. The first being, both have different sets of values and principles.
Secondly, they also drifted apart after Barbie decided to live in Taipei permanently. Finally, Wang is known for posting controversial comments on his Weibo and this has been a reason for many fights between the couple.
For instance, in one such post, he slammed the coronavirus situation in Taiwan, while praising how well it was managed in China.
In 2019, the rumours regarding the couple’s split were rife, but they had rubbished it then!
Netizens Speculating Barbie Hsu’s Divorce
On November 5, Xiaofei explained on Weibo that he is also known as “Wang Shaofei.’ He said that Shaofei is actually his birth name.
As per the businessman, his name was mistakenly registered as Xiaofei by the staff who misheard his name while issuing him his ID card.
Barbie further mentioned that “Xiaofei sounds a lot better than Shaofei,” and it is partly why he never got down to correcting the blunder. With this, netizens are thus speculating that with him reverting to his birth, is it a way of “cutting all ties with Barbie?”
On the other hand, Xiofei’s mum, Zhang Lan, who had earlier claimed that her son and daughter-in-law, are not separating, has been liking all the comments about Barbie Hsu divorce.
