Putting on too much perfume is a no-no. A great scent doesn't overpower those around you.

But, if you're one of those women who like spraying on a fragrance constantly, make sure it's a light cologne.

Neglecting to protect your face

Many people love using sunblock during the summer but, they also forget that their face needs just as much sun protection as the rest of their body does.

If you're still neglecting applying sunblock on your face, it's time to correct this habit!

Biting your nails

It's a nervous habit many people share. Though it may be endearing for some, it's annoying for most people.

It also poses risks: not only does it chip away at your nails, it increases the risk of ingesting germs, especially if you didn't wash your hands.

Getting your nails done

This is best done in moderation. Weekly manicures with nail polish may cause your nails to become brittle, dry, and more prone to chipping.

Using dirty makeup brushes

Aside from the fact that it won't effectively apply makeup on your face, keeping makeup brushes unwashed for prolonged periods of time means bacteria will adhere to them and can easily transfer onto your face.

Refrain from pulling out every white hair you spot. This is because they may not grow back. If they do grow back, they may do so unevenly.

If you're a fan of constantly straightening or curling your hair with an iron, lessen it.

This causes hair breakage and dryness.

Popping pimples

This is a short-term fix that causes long-term problems. Resist the urge!

Apply warm compress to reduce redness, inflammation, and to avoid acne scarring.

Once it shrinks, maintain clear skin with a mild anti-acne moisturizer.

Sleeping with your makeup on

Not washing your face before bed has harmful consequences: makeup, when left on overnight, clogs the pores and is simply bad for the skin.
