Royal baby Archie makes his royal tour debut in South Africa

Royal baby Archie makes his royal tour debut in South Africa

Prince Harry and Meghan took baby Archie on a public appearance and he looks exactly like his dad!

Baby Archie has stolen the show on the third day of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s tour of Africa by making a very smiley appearance.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex took their four-month-old son to meet Archbishop Desmond Tutu as part of the royal tour – and he looks identical to his dad when he was a baby.

It was the royal baby’s first public appearance in South Africa and he giggled and cooed as the Duchess of Sussex carried him in to meet the Nobel Peace Prize winner in Cape Town.

“An old soul”

The couple posted a video of their arrival at the Archbishop’s legacy foundation with the caption “Arch meets Archie!”.

The family had tea with Tutu, his wife Leah and their daughter at their foundation.

Meghan joked with the Archbishop’s daughter, Thandeka Tutu Gxashe, that Archie would have to get used to cameras in his life.

“I have cameras in my genes,” she said, adding that Archie was an “old soul.”

The Archbishop’s daughter also joked, “You like the ladies. He’s going to be a ladies man.”

Baby Archie has been kept away from cameras

The youngest member of Britain’s royal family had been out of the spotlight since his christening in July.

The family were spending their last day together in Cape Town before the prince sets off later on Wednesday to Botswana as part of their 10-day tour of southern Africa, while Meghan will remain with Archie.

Archie, born in May, is the first child of Prince Harry and the former Meghan Markle and seventh in line to the British throne.
