“Love what you’ve been given.” This was the message of Anne Hathaway’s latest Instagram post.
The Oscar-winning actress, who gave birth to her first child Jonathan Rosebanks with husband Adam Shulman in March, shared a photo of DIY jean shorts, captioned with wise words:
“There is no shame in gaining weight during pregnancy (or ever),” she wrote. “There is no shame if it takes longer than you think it will to lose the weight (if you want to lose it at all).”

“There is no shame in finally breaking down and making your own jean shorts because last summer’s are just too dang short for this summer’s thighs,” Hathaway continued. “Bodies change. Bodies grow. Bodies shrink. It’s all love. (Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.)”
This isn’t the first time the 33-year-old actress has spoken up about how pregnant women are pressured to lose their baby weight. On the Ellen Degeneres Show, Hathaway talked about an incident with a Hollywood trainer just weeks after giving birth.
“So I say to this guy I had a baby seven weeks ago,” she recalled. “And he goes, ‘Oh, trying to lose the baby weight?
“I say, ‘No, Brandon, it’s a little bit too soon to worry about weight. I’m just trying to regain my strength.’ And he walked away, and I cried a little bit.”
