Adele just seems like she’s a bundle of love these days.
Even as she belted out one of the most intense songs in her repertoire at her London show, she didn’t fail to notice her fans sharing a special moment in the crowd.
“They just got engaged,” she said into the mic and continued singing; she pointed them out as she was about to sing the last lines of the song. “Come up here, you two!” the pop icon, looking lovely in a floor-length sequinned dress, beckoned.
The couple joined her on stage and Adele welcomed them with a hug. The ever-charming pop star tried to comfort them by joking, “Oh, I get stage fright too. Deal with it.”
The scene was broadcast on the big screen behind them for the whole crowd to see.
The couple have been dating for 12-and-a-half years. “You’ve been going out longer than I’ve been making music.”
The two have one son named Alfie.
“That’s the most beautiful thing I’ve ever witnessed at one of my shows,” she marvelled. “Congratulations.”
