Give your child a chance to step into the rustic mystery of Middle Eastern tales with ACT 3 this December.
ACT 3 Drama Academy will be introducing its November-December Holiday Theatre Workshops based on intriguing Middle Eastern folktales , allowing the young to embrace role-playing to explore universal themes such as friendship , self –discovery , perseverance and courage .
The academy’s ‘1001 Arabian Nights’, is a series of five-day workshops for children aged three to 15 years old. There are different dates for different age groups
These courses are designed to cater for different age groups among children. Children get to live out, role-play and produce tales based on middle-eastern stories such as the academy’s own version of Aladdin, The Fisherman and the Genie, Sinbad and the Eye of the Tiger, The tale of King Shahriar and many other Arabian tales will be relived by the drama courses.
The workshops are taught by seasoned drama teachers trained in theatre studies and drama.
Since the year 1999, the Theatre Workshops which are held four times a year, have been well received and much favored by parents and children for its well-rounded and stimulating programs.
Through its various programs and initiatives, ACT 3 International is passionate about developing themselves in the creative arts industry using a multi-disciplinary approach to enriching the artistic lives of children.
While it embraces the arts as a platform to develop many other aspects of a child’s creative process, the company also aims to be as inclusive and creative as possible in a sustaining and enterprising way.
Past workshops have worked on scripts such as The Chronicles of Narnia, Alice in Wonderland and Doctor Dolittle.
The workshops at ACT3 Drama Academy consist of no more than 15 children at any one time, ensuring that ample attention is given to each child.
The workshops are allocated on different dates which span from Nov 22nd to Dec 10th.
Fees are based on the child’s age, ranging from $220 – $270.
A 20 % discount is given to parents who enroll their children in the courses before Oct 24th while OCBC Platinum MasterCard, Platinum Arts MasterCard holders ,Children Development Account , Mighty Savings account members and passion membership card holders receive as 15 % discount .
