The Story Behind the Event
At the heart of this playdate lies a charming tale titled “A Rain-bowl of Happiness,” penned and illustrated by the talented team at BrookieKids. Inspired by Emily Yeo’s The Little Book of Singapore Food Illustrated, this locally crafted story follows Olive, Kale, and their mom as they embark on a culinary adventure, creating Rainbow tang yuan using natural ingredients like butterfly peas and pandan leaves.

The 30-minute session kicks off with a captivating storytelling segment, bringing Olive, Kale, and their rainbow-filled journey to life. Guided by the team from Little Forest, children will have the opportunity to get creative with their very own Rainbow tang yuan. Using non-edible play dough and natural colourings, little ones can unleash their artistic flair and craft their edible masterpieces.

BrookieKids, a Singapore-based edu-tech company, is dedicated to promoting Mandarin language learning through the power of play. With over 50 Mandarin stories tailored for young learners, they strive to instil a love for language and culture from an early age.
Joining forces with BrookieKids is Little Forest, a creative learning academy renowned for its innovative approach to early childhood education. By infusing play into every aspect of learning, from dance and drama to culinary arts, Little Forest creates joyful and interactive experiences that spark curiosity and imagination.
