Be Prepared to Arrive Early, Make the Most of the Public Viewing

In addition to the fireworks, heartlanders will have a chance to witness a spectacular display of patriotism with the Singapore flag fly-past. Two Chinook helicopters will carry out the flag fly-past from approximately 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm on August 9, 2023. The helicopters will follow two routes, covering various heartland areas in Singapore.

The Western Route includes Woodlands, Choa Chu Kang, Jurong, and West Coast, while the Eastern Route includes Bukit Timah, Toa Payoh, Bishan, Ang Mo Kio, Sengkang, Punggol, Pasir Ris, Tampines, Changi, Bedok, and Marine Parade.

Aviation enthusiasts can also look forward to a thrilling flypast by a formation of ten aircraft, including six F-16D+ and three F-15SG fighter jets. From 5:40 pm to 6:10 pm, the jets will soar above the vicinity of five heartland sites: Jurong West, Woodlands, Toa Payoh, Tampines, and Bedok, adding excitement to the National Day celebrations.

Some of the highlights include sports tryouts such as athletics, basketball, floorball, football, hockey, table tennis, and tennis.

Participants can also engage in experiential activities like archery, skateboarding, roller skating, Nerf games, and Zorb ball.
