Yes, you are what you eat and you know it. Why not think of what you should be eating instead of craving for things that you should avoid. Here’s a list of food items that are good for that diet.

Once that dreaded four letter word d-i-e-t crops up, we moan. We should switch our mindset. Instead of restricting yourself, which would, by the way, make you feel deprived and hungrier; look at all the things you should be consuming –-in moderation, of course.


1. Flax Seeds

Add it to salads—it’s a great source of fiber, protein and omega-3 fatty acids.


2. Cayenne Pepper

This hot one is actually a strong male aphrodisiac containing capsaicin that can increase blood flow to all parts of the body. You could burn more calories when you romp between the sheets after. Any hot pepper can help you speed up your metabolism to shed those extra pounds.

This sour fruit can speed up your metabolism and even lower your insulin levels.


4. Curry

You’d be happy to know that studies show that the ingredients in curry can help prevent some sorts of diseases like colon cancer and Alzheimer’s. Do not load it up with coconut milk—that will defeat the purpose of weight-loss.

You can find many vitamins in this tiny-tree-looking vegetable. It also has cancer-fighting photochemical, fiber, calcium and magnesium.
