Did you know a typical serving of yu sheng may contain similar calories to a main meal. Infact the calories in yu sheng are even more than the calories in one serving of Laksa! This is mainly due to the oil and plum sauce added to the dish.

If you are looking to make your Yu Sheng a little healthier, try these simple modifications.

Less oil: Ask for less oil to significantly reduce the calories.
Less sauce and pickles: Plum sauce and pickles are highly sweetened. Hence ask for less plum sauce and fewer pickles
Less flour crisps (golden pillows): As flour crisps are deep fried, ask for less flour crisp to reduce the amount of fat.
