Our Star-studded Experience at Madame Tussauds Singapore

We visited Madame Tussauds over the weekend and boy, were we star-studded! The well-known wax museum opened its doors in 2014 and houses wax figures of celebrities and historical figures, including those of Singapore.

A Brief History of Madame Tussauds Singapore

Madame Tussauds is a wax museum that started from an exhibition in Paris 200 years ago. It currently has 20 Madame Tussauds Museums located all over the world, including 3 in China!

The Journey to The Wax Museum

We decided to take the Sentosa Express which started from Sentosa Station at VivoCity level 3. We alighted at Merlion Station and headed to Madame Tussauds, which was less than a 5-minute walk from the station.

Stepping into Singapore’s Past

When we got there, we went to watch Images of Singapore Live first, which was a 30-minute walk-around performance showcasing the history of Singapore – from the Japanese occupation to its being a first-world country. We should also mention that the actors in this performance were really into their roles, clearly providing an almost real enactment of Singapore’s History.

A Visit to The Main Attraction

After the performance, you can head to the main attraction which is the wax museum. The museum is a one-way route and the first stop is History and World Leaders. You’ll be greeted by world leaders and historical figures such as Obama, the Royal Family and Lee Kuan Yew.
