World’s first Angry Birds cable car ride launches in Singapore

On 1 June, Singapore Cable Car hosted a celebration to kickoff the world’s first Angry Birds Cable Car Ride. Together with a host of Angry Birds – themed activities for families, tourists and couples, the new attraction is set to pick up interest.

Thematic cable cars

Singapore Cable Car debuted a ‘one-of-a-kind’ set of cable cars among the main attractions surrounding “Angry Birds Adventure Atop Mount Faber”, running from June to December 2012. Alongside the cable cars, the Angry Birds theme is also brought to life through interactive games and creative workshops.

General Manager of Mount Faber Leisure Group, Chan Chee Chong stated that as Singapore Cable Car enters its 38th year of operation, they have “upped the ante by integrating one of the world’s most popular mobile games with our attraction to create a truly unique experience for Singaporeans and tourists.”

The World’s First Angry Birds Cable Car Ride provides guests with a full-sensorial experience the moment they step aboard the of 30 Angry Birds wrapped cabins. guests will be surrounded by sounds of Angry Birds chirping and pigs snorting, with an Angry Birds plush toy placed in selected cabins. With every purchase of a cable car ticket, riders will also receive a complimentary Angry Birds face mask and a mocktail served in a limited edition Angry Birds tumbler.

During the June school holidays, families with children can partake in ‘egg-citing’ activities that include colouring competitions, egg painting activities and balloon sculpting. After completing all the workshops, join us and experience the live Angry Bird game booths and iPad game stations situated within and around the cable car stations at Imbiah Lookout on Sentosa and Mount Faber.

Workshops designed for pre-schoolers and primary school students in mind will be available at economically priced packages (S$30 child, S$35 adult), which include a cable car ride and museum tour, entry into all arts and creative workshops, and free admission to Sentosa. Families can also purchase the Angry Birds limited edition Jewel Card membership (S$49 single, $139 family of four) provides great savings on repeat visits.
