This biennial festival is back in a celebration of written and spoken word in Singapore's Official languages - English, Malay, Chinese and Tamil. Housed in the Empress Place district surrounded by historic buildings such as The Arts House, The National Gallery and the Asian Civilisation Museum.
This year, the festival is including workshops specifically for children to get hands-on experience in illustration and drama techniques.
First up is Serena Ho, a Resident Artist at The Necessary Stage who has since worked as director, educator, facilitator, resident coach and curriculum consultant. In her drama workshop, children will be bringing their wild imaginations to the stage.
Through drama techniques, you'll help Serene bring to life The Arrival by Shaun Tan is an award-winning wordless book about a young migrant trying to get by with just a suitcase and a handful of currency.

Also hosting a workshop is Chris Haughton, an Irish illustrator and author living in London, as he takes you along on a journey with his friends Squirrel & Little Owl to learn the art of illustration. Parents will enjoy guiding their children as they learn basic handicraft.
