It’s the week of the September school holidays, and you know what that means. There will be a whole ton of family activities scattered around the island this week, and don’t worry, we’re on top of it. Here are the best events happening during this week of September, so buckle up!

 

#1 ACT 3 Drama Academy September and Children’s Day Holiday Workshops

ACT 3 Drama Academy is pleased to announce that they will be conducting a whole bunch of exciting September Holiday Workshops for 7-month to 7-year olds inspired by the stories of Australian children’s book author Mem Fox. They also have the Children’s Day Workshops for the 3 to 12-year-olds that entice with classic children’s literature. These workshops will be conducted by experienced Drama Educators and aim to enable children to discover simple concepts, build confidence and acquire the basic techniques of drama.

The all-time favourite children’s hit TV show is here to thrill your kids again! Barney and his friends, Baby Bop, BJ and Riff will be doing high energy song and dance performances that will have your kids moving and shaking their bodies in no time. There will also be an imaginative adventure tour where you and your kids will be taken on an imaginative adventure ride to the Musical Castle and meet the King! Musical performances include “Mr Knickerbocker”, “Dino Dance”, “Baby Bop Hop” and “Rock ‘n’ Roll Star.”

#3 ACT 3 International presents Jack and the Beanstalk

Suitable for 3 to 8-year-olds, ACT 3 International will be hosting a theatrical performance of the children’s classic, Jack and the Beanstalk. This performance will be part of Act 3’s theatre season 2016, and it is by Lyngo Theatre, the UK based Children’s Theatre company. Also, Jack and the Beanstalk will be making its maiden performance right here on our little red dot, so be sure not to miss this out!

#4 Kids Opera Workshop with OperaViva & Richard Wagner Association (Singapore)

If you have always wanted your kids to be exposed to Opera, then this workshop if perfect for you. In this workshop, kids will get to learn about the basics of what opera is, how to appreciate opera singing and its vocal techniques through games, listen to the different stories and music of famous operas, and so much more. Also, they will get a chance to be up close and personal with an actual opera singer!
