“I’m bored!” is what most parents dread hearing, especially during school holidays. Add children chasing each other inside the home, eyes glued on gadgets, and incessant fighting amongst siblings, keeping the family entertained on school breaks can be challenging for the ever-busy parents.

That’s why we’ve created a survival guide for the next four weeks, so everyone can stress less and enjoy more. Head to Sentosa Island, which has declared a State of Fun! Here’s your plan:

Week 1: Sentosa FunFest
Have children step away from their gadgets and into a world of sun, sea, and sand! Sentosa FunFest is going to keep your family active with lots of adrenaline-fuelled and 100% screen-free activities.

For the older kids and sportive parents, slide down the Fun Water Slide, overcome the Sway & Swing rope swinging obstacle, or challenge each other with the Nerf Blasters! Attendees can also expect new activities such the Cliff Jump, Balance Beam, Traversing Wall, and 7.5m tall Slide & Bounce as the event returns for the second year.

For parents with younger kids, there are also toddler-friendly activities such as the Bubbly Foam Pool, Playful Sand Pit, and Kiddy Amazing Maze!

Kiddy Amazing Maze

The fun doesn’t end there. Snack kiosks will be around so you can re-fuel the family – yup, no need to prepare snacks! DJs will also be present to keep the vibe energetic and light. All you have to do is enjoy and be in a constant state of fun.

Sentosa FunFest is taking place from 28 May – 5 June 2016, 10am – 7pm daily (last entry at 4.30pm) at Palawan Green. Tickets are sold at S$28 for adults and S$18 for children aged 3 – 12. A Bundle of 4 at $82.80 (Usual Price: $112) is available.

Week 2: Storytelling Come Alive! with MY LITTLE PONY
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be part of a story scene? No need to rely on your imagination further. Storytelling Comes Alive! will transport you and your kids into the world of MY LITTLE PONY!

Walk into the magical land of Equestria as Palawan Beach gets transformed into 3 zones:

  • Ponyville – Books are definitely not boring! In this small town of Earth ponies, which will be brought to life in a giant 3D pop-up book, children are transported into an enchanting world.
  • Cloudsdale – This is every little girl’s ultimate dream! Home to Rainbow dash, this cloud city will feature rainbow-themed installations such as trees wrapped in cotton rainbow socks.
  • Everfree Forest – Kids can have a one-of-a-kind encounter of prancing around with ponies in this magnificent digital space.

Giant 3D pop-up book

What’s more, there will also be a MY LITTLE PONY Friend-tastic Picnic Party exclusively on 9 July with screening of animation from 5:30pm – 9pm. Kiosks selling snacks such as popcorn and candy floss will be available. So, get your picnic mat ready to join in the fun!

Other activities include learning how to draw your favourite pony characters from local artist Peter Draw.

Storytelling Comes Alive! with MY LITTLE PONY is a free-admission event, taking place from 11 June – 17 July 2016, 10:30am – 7pm daily at Palawan Beach. 

Week 3: In The Wild by Port of Lost Wonder
Singapore’s first kids’ club by the beach, Port of Lost Wonder is taking on a wildlife theme!

That means one thing: kids are allowed to have a wild afternoon by splish-splashing around the Pirate Ship water play area. They can also go wild over other activities like Wild Wild Darts, Wilder Crafts, and Animal Charade.

In The Wild is taking place from 28 May – 26 June, 10am – 6.30pm daily at Port of Lost Wonder, Palawan Beach. Tickets are sold at S$15 per child. Accompanying adults enter free.

Week 4:
Skyline Luge Sentosa
Kick boredom blues to the curb! Go on a thrilling ride with the entire family on the Luge and board the Skyride to enjoy the breathtaking view of Sentosa Island.
