It’s that time of the year again for road closures and loud, fast cars to grace our TV screens. But if you’re going to attend the Formula 1 event with your family, don’t go thinking that you have to deal with your restless kids!

Don’t worry mummies, here are some of the to-knows and to-dos to make sure everything goes smoothly!

To-bring:

Water: Well, of course. Firstly, food and beverage sold there are ridiculously expensive and not to mention, the never-ending queues. Secondly, the place is very hot so there will definitely be a constant need to be hydrated. So mummies, be sure to prepare enough water for everyone!

Umbrellas: The seating areas at the F1 aren’t all sheltered and Singapore’s weather is really unpredictable so it’s better to be safe than sorry right?

Binoculars: In case you are ready to deal with “Who’s that that just drove past?” every single time a car zooms past, then a pair of binoculars should be in your backpack!

Earphones: Five words: It’s going to be LOUD. Or maybe even deafening! Although there are earplugs offered in the F1 Survival Kit, these are only suitable for adults and older kids. So earphones are a must-bring for mummies of little bubs!

To-know:

The crowd: The crowds are CRAZY at events like these in Singapore and losing people in the crowd are almost always inevitable. The best thing to do is to bring a collapsable buggy. Also, set up a meeting point in case anyone goes on their separate ways.

The walking: As the roads around the area are mostly blocked, cars and buses won’t be able to enter so you’re going to have to walk!

To-see:

The concert: The concerts at the F1 have always been the highlight of the event. With fans queuing as early as 4pm to get the best seats in the house. This year, catch celebrities such as Queen, Adam Lambert, Kylie Minogue, Pentatonix, Bastille and more own the stage. However, there are three different stages and access to these stages depends on which tickets you purchase. Do check before you go!

The track invasion: This will take place after the final race on Sunday and ticket holders of Zone 1 and Zone 2 get to go onto the track! This will definitely have your kids thrilled!
