Mummies, we spend a lot of time doing housework to ensure the house is clean. And while our efforts make the house look visibly cleaner, there is invisible dirt still lurking in the air at home.

The Invisible “Dirt”

Indoor air quality is actually compromised by plenty of harmful particles that we can’t see. In fact, according to a European study, the indoor air quality in the average home can be up to five times more polluted than the air outside. This is shocking, considering many of us do our best to keep the house clean of such pollutants!

But what we don’t know is that the air indoors can sometimes be filled with 0.1 micron particles, much smaller than the usual air particles, which travel inside our bodies and cause harm to them. In fact, they are so small that when inhaled they can penetrate our bloodstream! These micron particles then stick to the smaller branches and gas exchange region of our lungs. This is the invisible “dirt” that lurks in our homes.

Tjin Lee’s Experience when keeping the house clean

This invisible “dirt” is what made Tjin Lee, mummy to two and an entrepreneur, realise that her kids used to fall sick very often despite being home a lot. It reminded her of her own experience as a child, which was spent suffering from dust allergies. Looking back on her childhood, she knew that it was the invisible “dirt” at home caused her to suffer from her allergies and suspected the same for her kids.

Her Solution to Poor Indoor Air Quality

It made her determined to find a solution to improve the air quality at home for her kids. It was then that she stumbled upon the Dyson Pure Cool Link.

The Dyson Pure Cool Link automatically captures gases and removes 99.95% of harmful fine particles such as, allergens and pollutants as small as the 0.1 microns. The Dyson Pure Cool Link is fitted with a glass HEPA filter, designed to capture both particulate matter and gases.

On Auto Mode, the smart device monitors the air quality, then reacts by purifying the air and adjusting airflow accordingly. It then reports everything you need to know about your indoor air quality to the Dyson Link app (available on both iOS and Android). You can also control your purifier from anywhere – whether you’re travelling, at work or simply on the sofa.

At just the push of a button, you can activate the automatic night-time mode, which uses the quietest airflow settings.
