MP Tin Peiling has just given birth to her second baby, and it’s a boy again! She announced the happy news on social media on 25 September 2018.
She wrote, “Dear friends, I’ve just delivered my second son today. Thank you for your support and well wishes.”
Tin Pei Ling was known to be hard at work and meeting residents right until her delivery date. In fact labour started right after her Meet-The-People Session last night.
“As labour started after my MPS last night (impeccable timing) and I haven’t slept, I’m going to KO very soon. Pls forgive me if I do not respond to you on emails or other channels. Thank you for your patience with me”, she writes.
Tin Pei Ling, who is married to civil servant Ng How Yue, had made her pregnancy announcement earlier this year, in March 2018. She had her first child in August 2015.
She had uploaded a photo of her firstborn son dressed in a shirt with the words “Big Brother” emblazoned on it.
She wrote: “So… my little Kee Hau has been such a sweetheart that we decided to promote him #BunInOven #14weeks #CommunityWorkAsUsual.”

On National Day, the pregnant mum was spotted looking radiant in red and white.

Popular blogger-influencer BongQiuQiu had also expressed her admiration for Pei Ling, “Very inspired by her because she’s heavily pregnant but still running #MacphersonSMC tirelessly on top of her job.”
“All of these, plus being a very hands-on mummy to her 2 year old. Other than great family and spouse support, I think she herself is quite a superwoman.”
In an interview with theAsianparent right after she had had her first baby, Tin Pei Ling had said, “I know it can be very stressful raising a kid. The environment is challenging but we have conditions better than other countries.”
“I hope parents continue to stay strong to have the best environment and best possible starting point for their kids.”
“I can fully empathise with what they are going through and the fight for young families. And I hope to be able to represent them and be their voice in Parliament.”
Here’s wishing this new mum a joyous parenting journey ahead!
