Google Review: We went early in the morning for breakfast. Quite a number of eateries already open. Most of the shops selling bags, shoes, etc open at 10am. Very big shopping mall and there’s seats for you to rest. There’s giant hypermarket there too. Ample parking space.
Nex Shopping Mall
Best Kids Friendly Mall in Singapore for Indoor Play Areas
The Serangoon neighbourhood shopping mall has some exciting play areas for juniors such as KidzPlay and K9 Park at the SkyGarden on level four, which is open between 11am – 9pm (but closed during wet weather for public safety).
Walking through the relatively big shopping centre with kids in tow will be hassle-free as the mall offers complimentary baby strollers too.
Address: 23 Serangoon Central
Opening hours: 10.30am-10.30pm
Website: www.nex.com.sg
Google Review: One of the biggest mall in Serangoon. Has plenty of big brands, Sephora, H&M, shaw, cold storage, fairprice, food junction, library. Carpark is not very user friendly as there is no exit on every floor, do remember where you park as the way the building layout is designed, it’s not very user friendly as well. There is a pet lift. Toilets are available at every floor however due to the high volume of people, it’s not as clean as you expect.
Westgate
Best Kids Friendly Mall in Singapore for Fantasy Experiences
One of the new kids on the block, Westgate is becoming a crowd favourite for parents to bring their children at the one-of-a-kind outdoor fantasy-themed playground, Westgate Wonderland, located on the fourth floor.
There is a 10-metre tall tree house, a great playground for big kids and even little kids, plus a fantastic water-play area with a huge watering can which sprays out water!

Website: https://westgate.com.sg
Google Review: Westgate is located at Jurong East MRT. The building is linked directly to the train station. Westgate is one of the largest shopping malls in the west. They have a semi indoor playground on the rooftop. Like any other malls, they have the major F&B, supermarket, fashion. They also have an arcade on basement 1. They have 2 basement carpark. On Friday, they have local talents performing at the outdoor stage. They also have some local and offshore banks. The local food court can be found on basement one.
United Square Mall
Best Kids Friendly Mall in Singapore for Educational Shopping
Known as “the kids learning mall”, United Square Mall is a hit with families.
Start with the vibrant and interactive website to plan your shopping trip, which even your little ones can help with. And when you’re there, the outdoor water features will keep the young ones fascinated – long enough for you to run into the new Starbucks for a quick coffee-to-go!
For the little bookworms out there, ‘Molly the Mobile Library’ makes her appearance on the 2nd Saturday of every month, at level 1 between 1pm – 5 pm.
A nursing room is available on level one and if you’re planning on a long walk-about around the mall with a little one, United Square offers a three-hour complimentary stroller.
Address: 101 Thomson Road
Opening hours: 10:30am – 9:30pm daily
Website: www.unitedsquare.com.sg
Google Review: Small neighbourhood mall with more that caters to kids and family dining options. It’s got everything you would need if you were living nearby, and good dining choices as well.
JEM
Best Kids Friendly Mall in Singapore for Dining and Entertainment
Another new mall in the west, JEM has a marine-themed playground right outside of the food court which also includes a few water features for the kids to splash around, and then wash themselves up at the showers provided nearby.
There is even a Sky Park with interesting features from the Science Park which will delight your kids as they explore the different sights and sounds.
If you need to do some grocery shopping, don’t worry about the little ones getting bored and having a meltdown in the middle of the supermarket, because NTUC Fairprice at the basement level has special kiddy car carts for junior to “drive around” in as mum and dad grab the weekly food supplies, or you can even let your kids help with the shopping by pushing along their own pint-sized trolley (both with a refundable deposit of $10).
Address: 50 Jurong Gateway Road
Website: https://www.jem.sg/
Google Review: A shopping mall with a good variety of shops, food, fashion, grocery, also a 2 level don don donki. Best mall in the area, unlike it’s neighbour (Westgate) that has no aircon and JCube which is closing down soon. If you are in Jurong East and you are thinking of which mall to go, I would suggest JEM.
Vivocity
Best Kids Friendly Mall in Singapore for Waterfront Shopping
This colossal 5-storey shopping mall in itself is a playground for the whole family. Housing 340 stores, there’s a shop for every parent and child.
A restless little one? Good news parents! An array of play areas in the open-air playground on level two will put a smile on any sulking face. And it’s easily accessible from the shops, meaning you can get back to your shopping quicker.
If you need to breastfeed your little one, comfy, well-equipped nursing rooms (six of them!) are available just off the open-air play area on level two.
Even more fun for kids would be the mini express train ride at $6 a ride (for children below 90cm, an accompanying parent rides for free) and the Happy Boat rides on the rooftop for the little ones to paddle around for only $4!
Address: 1 Harbourfront Walk
Opening hours: 10am – 10pm daily
Website: www.vivocity.com.sg
Google Review: I recently visited the shopping center, and it exceeded my expectations! The variety of shopping brands is impressive, and the array of restaurants and cafes cater to every taste. The outdoor area’s scenic view adds a delightful touch, making it a perfect spot to unwind. Overall, a fantastic destination for a day of shopping and relaxation.

This mall in the west side of Singapore is great for the whole family because there is a huge Kiddy Palace there filled to the brim with toys and baby essentials, a big cinema upstairs to catch the latest movies, a large Popular bookstore in the basement and a wide choice of eateries to choose from for that perfect family meal.
There are child-friendly urinals and sinks in most of the restrooms there and even a little Boys’ Restroom and little Girls’ Restroom on level two!
There are also a few nursing rooms available with diaper changing stations and hot and cold water dispensers.
Address: 1 Jurong West Central 2
Opening hours: 10am – 10pm daily
Website: https://www.jurongpoint.com.sg/
Google Review: There’s a very nice accessories push-cart shop at B1, just in front of Cantine by Kopitiam foodcourt (B1-42-44). They have a good range of bags, wallets & hair ties. The 2 ladies manning the store are very friendly & helpful. A pleasant shopping experience overall. For cat-lovers, they have quite a number of cloth bags with super cute cat designs!
