Dinosaurs-Live! Exhibition

Dinosaurs-Live!, a highly interactive and educational exhibition opens a window on a world lost to history with close to 50 brand new larger-than-life animatronics dinosaurs coming ‘alive’ before your eyes. Gain precious insights into dinosaurs from all prehistoric periods, their places of discovery, anatomical characteristics, food patterns and scientific discoveries about their evolution and habitats.

Other activities include documentaries, Fossil-Dig, Dino-Drawing, Dino-Riding and a superb Dino-Store stocked with a variety of gifts.

This exhibition is jointly organised by the Science Centre Singapore, MediaCorp VizPro International and Pico Art International.

IMAX Movie: Flying Monsters at the Omni-Theatre

Just as dinosaurs began their domination of Earth, pterosaurs ruled the prehistoric skies. With wingspans as long as a modern jet plane, these flying reptiles were as spectacular in appearance as they were amazing in flight. Join world-renowned naturalist and documentary filmmaker David Attenborough as he recounts the fascinating story of how humans first discovered these enigmatic creatures and their fascinating journey of flight.

IMAX Movie: Born to be Wild at the Omni-Theatre

An emotional tale of the dedication and bond between humans and animals that will capture the hearts of children and families. Born to be Wild, a stunningly captured family friendly IMAX movie, makes its debut in Singapore at the refurbished Omni-Theatre. Be transported into the lush Borneo rainforests and across the rugged Kenyan Savannah as the film documents young orphaned elephants and orangutans and the extraordinary people who rescue and raise them.

Make*Believe Pre-school Programme

Science Centre and Make*Believe LLP, a specialist in children’s enrichment programmes, is launching an inaugural enrichment programme titled “Common Spaces” that focuses on architecture and urban planning. Suitable for children 18 months to 6 years old, these hands-on programmes are designed to engage children’s imagination, promote creative thinking and present holistic learning of mathematics, science and visual arts.

Uniquely You Exhibition

Science Centre’s newest permanent exhibition, ‘Uniquely You’, explores the unique composition of an individual in relation to genetic heritage, environment and lifestyle influences. Highlights include a virtual autopsy – ‘Inside You’, the concept of 4P medicine, an ‘inside the womb’ experience and ‘Body Mirror’ – an interactive look inside of yourself.

‘Scientist for a Day’ Exhibition

An interactive exhibition which accentuates the processes known as The Scientific Method. Gain an understanding of the “scientific enterprise”, requirements of scientific work and scientific thinking. Tinkle at the hands-on stations and learn how great scientists think, how scientific discoveries are made and experience the scientific process yourself just as if you were a scientist!

Climate Change Exhibition

Climate change is not something new – the earth has warmed and cooled for millions of years. Learn about the consequences of global warming and the effect it has on climate change. The exhibition is divided into five zones namely Sub Zero, Climate Flux, Climate Impacts, Climate Ark and ClimEX where you can even calculate your carbon footprint and pen down what you think can mitigate this phenomenon.

‘Invent! It’s in You!’ Exhibition

Celebrate ideas and the inventive spirit at the Invent! Exhibition. Come and explore why we are driven to invent, and how we can make use of our innate characteristics like curiosity, perseverance, and the ability to make connections to help us invent. Open-ended and hands-on exhibits encourage creativity and problem solving. The exhibition has four themes: Inventions Everywhere!, Tinker!, Inventors Spotlight!, and Reflect!

From insects that swim to insects that fly, come join us and interact with other six-legged friends while learning about their life cycle and their contribution to our needs.

Tesla Coil Demonstration

Be amazed by the Tesla Coil demonstration, a highly dramatic and electrifying live demonstration of high voltage electricity.  See this 3.5 million volt coil in action, generating electrical arcs of up to three metres.

Fire Tornado Demonstration

Come face to face with one of the most terrifying and spectacular phenomenon in nature. Science Centre recreates this fiery display of a 6m tall spiralling fire tornado in a specially built enclosure!

Take to the Skies tells the story of mankind’s quest to fly. Join us in this special presentation as we celebrate the pioneers who dared to dream, and discover the traits that made them successful in their efforts to take mankind to the skies.
