Singapore, 30 October 2020 — The Learning Lab (TLL), Singapore’s leading provider of tuition and enrichment services, unveils Generation ‘You’, a campaign that turns the spotlight on today’s generation of children and the importance of empowering them to harness their potential.

Today’s kids are growing up with information and perspectives from across the globe at their fingertips, all with a single swipe on their phones. This generation will be the most educated, perhaps even the most compassionate, and certainly the most connected. And TLL endeavours to help our students tap on these unique qualities to be ready for the future.

The Ministry of Education has expressed its desire to encourage a deeper appreciation of different perspectives and cultures, and a deeper understanding of global issues in students here. This drive will be reflected in refreshed syllabuses to drive engagement with students, a move that TLL sees great value in.

Bringing the World into the Classroom

Generation ‘You’ kicks-off with a two-minute film seemingly pointing a critical finger at today’s children, but in the same stroke, highlights the immense potential this generation possesses. Generation ‘You’ encourages both parents and children to see strengths instead of failings, and inspires deep reflection on what education means for this generation of children.

“As educators, we at The Learning Lab strive to nurture the love of learning and to pique the curious minds of our students. We not only help them build a strong foundation and do well in exams, but also widen their perspectives to develop independent and critical thinking about the world around us,” said Ng Yihang, Head of Marketing at The Learning Lab.

“With Generation ‘You’, we hope to inspire kids to go beyond textbooks and grades. We want them to see what’s possible with the knowledge they glean from lessons and learning materials, and think about the positive impact they can have on the world and the society.”
