Taylor, the first and only independent primary care platform to be licensed by Singapore’s Ministry of Health for fertility needs such as egg freezing and In- Vitro Fertilisation (IVF), has launched in Singapore.
Designed to act like an ally, Taylor partners with patients to offer first-line fertility checks that inform women and couples about their fertility health in an approachable, pressure- free space; ensure timely intervention by triaging patients to specialist services where needed; and provide end to end care coordination to remove unnecessary stress and costs for those embarking on egg freezing and IVF journeys.
Headquartered in Singapore for its reputable biotechnology hubs and strong Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) networks, Taylor is the product of first-hand research into the challenges faced by patients, IVF clinic staff, doctors and claims adjudicators.
Currently focusing on women and couples who are considering egg freezing and IVF, Taylor works closely with fertility clinics to fill the gaps in one’s fertility journey. It does this by making proactive fertility care approachable with mobile fertility screenings, and aggregating insights across clinics to match patients with doctors most suited to their needs and budget.
Its concierge arm also offers convenience through telehealth and home-based injections, handles all cross-border coordination, including managing IVF cycles, shipping eggs internationally, and exploring alternative reproductive options. Additionally, it acts as a partner by offering tailored tips, advice and reminders to inexperienced women and couples to prevent any medical risks and personal costs that they may accidentally incur due to the lack of public knowledge on such matters.
Meet the Founders
With backgrounds in an IVF clinic and as a licensed medical doctor, co-founders Eve Lee and Dr. Rachel Chin have developed Taylor into a comprehensive clinical platform. It empowers individuals to manage their family-building timelines with support that comes without any extra expense to the patients.
Taylor was born from co-founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Eve Lee’s firsthand experiences working at an IVF clinic in Singapore where she witnessed the struggles of IVF patients. Having gone through egg freezing herself, Eve related deeply to the anxiety and sense of helplessness one often feels during the fertility process.
It was her journey, coupled with the courageous stories of the IVF patients she met daily, that led her to think that while some challenges can’t be helped, she could change things where possible.
Sharing Eve’s conviction that Taylor is positioned to make a real difference to patients is co-founder and Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Dr Rachel Chin. Dr Chin is a licensed Family Physician passionate about women’s health. Having been diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) at 25 years old, she understands the psychosocial challenges of dealing with infertility and is a strong advocate for women feeling empowered to make
decisions about their fertility journey.
Having met as co-workers of a high-growth tele-medicine company used by 2.5 million users across Southeast Asia, Dr Chin shares the belief that Taylor will create a larger butterfly effect across the entire industry, creating new standards for fertility care that are also more accessible to a wider demographic.
Begin Your Fertility Journey With Taylor
Predictably, the majority of early users are Singaporean women aged 30 and above, interested in freezing their oocytes for future optionality. Many are unclear whether or how to start, how to choose the right clinic for their budget and timeline or even how to evaluate the medical and regulatory risks against the cost savings rewards of cross-border care.
This is where Taylor’s primary care services hope to bridge the gap for its users, by providing accessible fertility screenings, complimentary fertility guidance, advice on selecting a clinic and destination, and also coordination of schedules and cross-border arrangements for those seeking fertility services abroad.
Users will also be triaged based on their fertility results so everyone can get handheld support and care from the start of their journeys.
Given the high costs and time commitment associated with IVF procedures, Taylor simplifies these critical aspects of fertility treatments. With an average cost exceeding S$10,000, Singapore’s typical egg freezing cycle is often not covered by private or public insurance, necessitating out-of pocket payments from patients.
1. Simple and affordable fertility tests
Taylor’s affordable screenings are a la carte, not bundled in with other services for women to easily get started without feeling pressured to do more. Patients can review their results with Taylor, at their convenience via video call and even outside clinic hours.
2. Dedicated expert support from start to finish
Taylor’s concierge is 100% free for patients. As both former patients and IVF clinic staff, the team’s experience and hindsight are in the patient’s corner on this journey.
3. World class treatments across Asia from S$6,000
Patients can find their ideal IVF clinic from Taylor’s handpicked network of partner clinics across Asia. Taylor’s experts help patients look out for the things they would not know about to maximise their chances of egg freezing success.
4. Nurse injections at home
One of the most challenging points of the egg freezing journey is the injections. Taylor offers trained nurses to conduct these for patients in the privacy and comfort of their homes – freeing them from the stress of doing it correctly themselves.
Taylor Starts Conversation on Fertility Health With In-Community Pop-Ups
To open a literal front door to women in the age segment who are actively contemplating or undergoing family building and who might not otherwise go for a checkup, Taylor will be launching physical pop-ups for in-community fertility screenings.
Mobile Fertility Clinic by Taylor will offer fertility screenings, along with complimentary fertility specialist talks for those who are not ready to undergo a test. Each screening is only 15 minutes and will be strategically located at business districts and heartland areas to enable women to conveniently prioritise learning about their fertility health without having to take too much time away from their daily lives.
Taylor believes that making fertility screenings more accessible is a powerful early intervention enabling early diagnosis and timely treatment. While fertility screenings done at a specialist clinic tend to be bundled together with packages, Taylor’s screenings are a la carte and don’t presume the patient intends to go further down the IVF route. Phlebotomists and doctors will be on-site to administer fertility screenings that test for the presence of different hormones (AMH, TSH) and Vitamin D.
