For example, the Tao Seafood Asia Curry Crab is a Thai-inspired crab dish that combines aromatic spices with fragrant and rich creamy coconut milk.

Here’s a peek at some of the finest and most delicious items on Tao Seafood Asia’s menu:

This delectable sweet-spicy pickle and piquant coriander sauce is bound to whet your appetite for some of the amazing dishes that await you, such as the Crispy Fish Skin with Salted Egg Sauce (S$10), featured below.

This dish actually consists of eel skin that is deep-fried until crispy, and then tossed in a silky salted egg sauce.

The smooth saltiness of the egg goes beautifully with the crisp fish skin, and the garnishing of deep-green curry leaves adds a further depth of flavour and texture to this appetizer. A very tasty start to a meal, for sure!

Featured above is another starter — the Chilled Jellyfish Salad (S$10) — which is a very popular traditional delicacy that also has medicinal properties.

This dish is full of the texture of smooth and crunchy jellyfish, and the tangy and aromatic flavour of vinegar, sesame and chili which makes up the salad dressing.

Overall, it is a light, refreshing and tasty appetizer — definitely worth trying!

If there is one food item symbolic of the Chinese New Year, it has to be abalone. It is also one of the top 4 delicacies in Chinese culture, and is prized for its culinary and nutritional benefits.

This is why you must try the dish featured above — Superior Abalone with Crab Meat over Rice  (S$38).

The “Chef’s Recommendation” contains not just the tender meat of this prized mollusk, but also sweet, juicy chunks of crab meat sitting in a golden broth, all served over fragrant white rice.

Another type of seafood that’s very much appreciated in Chinese cuisine is the cod. If you love the sweet, delicate flavour of this fish, then you will thoroughly enjoy Tao Seafood Asia’s Pot Roasted Cod (S$38, pictured above).

The cod is roasted to perfection and is made delicious with aromatics like garlic and coriander root. It is covered silkily in a rich sauce, the flavours of which are unique to Tao Seafood Asia.

If you enjoy the sweet flavour of prawns, then the dish featured above — Tao Seafood Asia Curry Jumbo Prawn (S$18) —certainly won’t let you down.

Inspired by Thai cuisine, this dish is a feast for the eyes as much as it is for the taste buds.

The must-try dish consists of a giant, juicy prawn sitting on a delicious coconut milk-based curry sauce that is infused with aromatic spices.

Tao Seafood Asia doesn’t just excel in the preparation of divine savoury dishes. They also have a wonderful selection of both traditional and modern desserts to satisfy everyone’s sweet tooth.

Shown in the photo above is the Snow Fungus with Red Dates and Gingko Nuts (S$8).

This chilled traditional Chinese dessert, also symbolic of Chinese New Year, features snow fungus, red dates and ginkgo nuts steeped in a pleasantly sweet syrup (Tong Sui).

Besides being delicious and refreshing, it also has medicinal properties, making it a really good way to end a traditional Chinese meal.

If you’d rather end your meal with a more modern twist though, then this Trio Surprise ($12, shown below) will be ideal for you.

The trio is made up of a divine little jelly made of aloe vera (on the right), a feathery-light and sweet mini mango cake accompanied with tangy berries (in the middle), and a hard-shelled chocolate cup filled with a rich chocolate mousse (on the right).

Each item is delightful in its own right and will definitely leave you feeling very satisfied.
