The set is paired with a large protective umbrella with a design exclusive to Grand Park City Hall.
Lush cityscapes by acclaimed local urban artist Paul Wang and the graceful figures of fashion illustrator Hiroaki Shono adorn the umbrella, in tribute to the civic district and heritage architecture of its locale.
Or encourage self-care and a little me-time with the Festive Afternoon Tea Set & Appelles Bath Collection ($99nett; U.P. $116nett).
This luxurious bath collection by Australian boutique brand Appelles – which includes items such as a nourishing Wheat Protein Shampoo infused with native Blue Australian Blue Mallee Eucalyptus oil and lemongrass, nutrient-rich Green Seaweed and Ginger Lily Bath Bomb and a Vitamin B3 Body Buff – combine advanced cosmetic technologies, premium essential oils and botanical extracts to carry the user away on a journey of the senses and revitalise heart and mind.
Festive Charcuterie & Bread Set ($88nett)
The regular version is beloved as a lavish brunch option, but for something special over the holidays, this limited time festive edition showcases traditional Christmas Gammon alongside other delicious cold cuts and cheeses such as Salami, Gorgonzola and Gournay.
Tablescape’s popular housemade breads accompany the charcuterie – including the slow-fermented 250g Sour Dough round loaf, crafted with care and expertise, though regulars may be even more delighted with the new butter accompaniment.
Alongside the housemade Unsalted Butter and delicately aromatic Truffle Oil is a Yuzu Cranberry Butter.
With both fruits coming into season during the winter, their flavour is at the peak right this moment; the lightness of Tablescape’s housemade butter brings out more refined nuances – offering a silky butter that is fruity, tangy and refreshing.
This festive set is also available as a bundle with cocktails from sister concept Smoke & Mirrors; the Festive Charcuterie & Cocktail Set retails at $168nett.
8-Course Festive Set Menu (From $176nett)
If there’s a time when we need to feast, the end of the year is that time – especially if there’s someone you need to impress.
With just 48 hours advance notice, Tablescape will present a veritable “groaning table”.
The meal begins with an assortment of starters such as Burrata paired with refreshing kumquats and savoury prosciutto crisps and rich Foie Gras crusted with housemade ginger-infused bread crumbs, served with baked apples.
Mains include items such as a mouthwatering whole Roasted Flat Chicken BBQ, spatchcocked, flattened and marinated for one full day in rosemary, thyme, wholegrain mustard, then grilled inn the charcoal-fired Josper oven; and a slow-roasted Pork Belly Roulade accompanied with caramelised yams.
End the meal on a sweet note with an assortment of chef-selected housemade sweets and artisanal panettone.
Festive A-La-Carte Specials (from $68nett)
If you’re heading over to mum’s for a potluck or want to present a food gift, there’ll be plenty to choose from Tablescape’s festive a-la-carte specials.
The simply named Oven Baked Line Caught Fish ($168nett) actually features a whole seabass prepared in the much-loved acqua pazza or “crazy water” style with garlic, capers, white wine and cherry tomatoes for a flavour sweetly, delicately redolent of the ocean.
For easy fuss-free dining, each fish will be expertly filleted. It will still be served whole with lemons, potatoes and capers; and will look truly impressive on the table.
Those looking for an English-style roast will enjoy the clove-scented whole Gammon Ham ($168nett), painstakingly made in-house from raw gammon or the hind leg of a pork – cleaned, boiled and baked with juniper berries, raw cloves and other aromatics, then glazed with sweet Canadian maple syrup for the perfect balance between savoury and sweet.
The sweet and savoury theme continues even with the accompaniments such as grilled pineapple and a rosemary-apple sauce.
If you prefer a turkey – but still want a twist, Tablescape’s new Spanish-style Roast Turkey ($168nett) will surprise and delight. Brined, then marinated with housemade adobo seasoning that includes spices such as paprika and oregano before being roasted, the turkey is both juicy and flavourful, with a just a hint of spice that will suit even the palates of young children.
The giblets of the turkey are used to make a rich gravy, and it’s served with buttered brussels sprout, maple glazed chestnuts with pecans, and a caponata made with Spanish chorizo and bell peppers.
A tenderer cut of pork is used with the Pork Belly Roulade ($248nett) – where the aforementioned pork belly is marinated with garlic, rosemary, paprika and a housemade herb-infused oil, then rolled up.
The roll is then sous-vide for 12 hours before being baked; this creates a deep rich flavour and a texture that is yieldingly tender.
If you haven’t one sweet tooth but many, the housemade Log Cakes will be the perfect choice. The Rum & Raisin Log Cake ($78nett) showcases tender dacquoise sponge, a rather elegant hazelnut cremeux and Valrhona chocolate mousse completely bejewelled with rum-soaked raisins – absolutely perfect for a sweet yet refreshing finish to a meal.
The Raspberry Chocolate Log Cake ($68nett) features the same tender dacquoise sponge but offers a luscious dark chocolate mousse balanced with a sweet praline cremeux – all of which is enfolded in a elegant pink-red raspberry mirror glaze.
