As they built their careers, Hyun Bin became known as one of the most influential South Korean actors. Meanwhile, Son Ye-jin gained fame for her charm and versatile acting. She eventually garnered further success with her moniker the “Nation’s First Love.”
Son Ye-jin and Hyun Bin gained more love from fans for starring in the beloved South Korean drama “Crash Landing on You.” Son played as the successful CEO Yoon Se-ri who accidentally crash-landed in North Korea while paragliding. There, she meets and falls in love with Hyun Bin’s character, Captain Ri Jeong-hyeok, the sweet yet emotionally-reserved soldier.
Before the series, the two worked together in the 2018 action-thriller film “The Negotiation.” There, they portrayed enemies instead the usual loving couple we saw in the beloved series.
The two were also part of the hit 2011 series “Secret Garden” where Hyun Bin played one of the leads. However, this project was the least memorable to them because Son Ye-jin only had a cameo appearance.

During her appearance on “You Quiz on the Block,” Son Ye-jin shocked fans when she talked about her first love. She appeared on the hit show to promote her new drama titled “Thirty-Nine.” However, she made viewers more excited about her wedding than her new series.
The interview sparked further glee when the hosts asked the actress about her love life. They popped the playful question after inquiring about her famous nickname, “Nation’s First Love.”
“My current love is my first love.” said Son Ye-jin, hinting that her now-husband is the first love of the ‘Nation’s First Love.’
