Amy Brown, parent educator for Millstadt schools in Illinois shares with new moms some answers to common questions about being a parent.

Post-partum depression is one of the most common issues that new moms face. To deal with it, Brown advises moms to get out of the house and meet people to get over feelings of inadequacy and loneliness. She believes that as mothers gain new friends, they have more people who they can turn to when they encounter problems.

Fitting into those old tight-fitting jeans is another concern that new mothers have. They are at a loss on how to regain their old figure back. Brown advises mothers to breastfeed as studies have shown that those who do this usually lose the extra pounds quickly. Of course, exercise really helps.
