Peace of Art, in collaboration with Marina Square, proudly announces the launch of the inaugural Sustainable Kids Market. This pioneering event will be held at the atrium of Marina Square on 25 to 26 May 2024, from 10am to 8pm.

The Sustainable Kids Market aims to unite children across Singapore in a collective effort to support their less fortunate peers through the transformative power of the arts.

With close to 100 brands participating, visitors will find a variety of activities tailored for engagement and learning. These include the sale of sustainable goods, workshops focused on sustainability, art exhibits, auctions, and live performances.

The event will also host a large-scale public art collaboration, bringing the community together in celebration of conscious creativity.

Vendors present include well-loved family brands like Doob, OATBEDIENT, Cloversoft, Geniebook, Baby Central, MAMASHOP, and Mia Tavola, alongside partnership activities with key educational institutions such as the National Environment Agency, Methodist Girls’ School, Cedar Girls’ Secondary, ACS Junior, Etonhouse, and government agencies such as Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore and the Made for Families government initiative.

A key section of the event features the KIDSforKIDS initiative, with around 25 sustainable goods booths set up and managed by children, with the help of their parents.

All profits generated from the Sustainable Kids Market will be channelled directly to aid children living in Singapore’s public rental flats. The funds will enhance educational, enrichment, and mentorship programs spearheaded by Young Hearts of the Singapore Red Cross to combat intergenerational poverty.

Mr. Alvin Tan, Minister of State, Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth & Ministry of Trade and Industry, will grace the opening of the market as the Guest-of-Honour.

“We’re fortunate to continue to see immense interest and growth in our movement to democratise philanthropy, with new partners and supporters finding ways to work closely with us and support our vision. By partnering with Marina Square, we have grown our community even more – by involving young changemakers who would be an integral part of this family-friendly market.

At the market, their creativity and commitment converges to promote conscious decision-making and uplifting the lives of underprivileged children, ” said Mrs. Eunice Yeo, Founder of Peace of Art SG.

“We are delighted to co-organise this first-of-its-kind event at Marina Square, enabling young innovators to exhibit their creative talents while championing for environmental and social causes. It is heartening that the event has received the support of educational institutions and government agencies, showcasing the strength of tripartite partnerships in effecting positive social change,” commented Ms. Chan Yien Mei, General Manager of Marina Square.

“It is inspiring to witness our community rallying together to further the cause for social inclusion and sustainability,” she added.
