Singaporean father charged with murder for pregnant wife's death

A 41-year-old local man allegedly murdered his 39-year old wife, who was pregnant at the time, and their 4-year-old daughter.

Teo Ghim Heng, was charged on 30 Jan for the murder of his pregnant wife, Choong Pei Shan. As for the case regarding his daughter, it is still ongoing, as reported by The Straits Times.

Both Choong and her child were discovered on 28 Jan in a bedroom of their Woodlands flat. It is believed that during the first reports released, authorities were unaware that Choong, was in fact, six months pregnant when she was murdered.

Authorities believe that both individuals were deceased for over a week prior to when they were found in the bedroom of their HDB flat. The case will be revisited on 6 Feb.

Teo’s marriage to Choong is said to be his second marriage and the couple were wed back in 2009.
